Shipping Details

At ExpandoWorks, we pride ourselves on precision and speed. Whether you are ordering custom PCBs or our flagship IoT sensors, we ensure your components are handled with care and delivered securely.

1. Fabrication & Processing Times

Custom PCBs: Production times vary based on complexity (layer count, finish, etc.). Standard fabrication typically takes [3–7] business days from the moment your design files are approved.
IoT Hardware (Kyber Series): In-stock items are processed within 1–2 business days. Out-of-stock or high-volume orders may require additional lead time.
SMT Assembly: Turnaround times for assembly are quoted per project based on component sourcing and volume.

2. Shipping Rates & Destinations

Local (South Africa): We ship nationwide from our Johannesburg facility. We offer standard and express courier options through our trusted logistics partners.
International: We ship globally. Please contact us to find out more.
Collection: Local clients may opt to collect their orders directly from our office in Fourways, Sandton, during business hours (Upon Request).

3. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number. You can monitor your shipment’s progress via the courier’s portal.

4. Customs & Duties (International Orders)

For orders shipped outside of South Africa, the recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees required by the destination country.

Return & Refund Policy

Because ExpandoWorks provides both off-the-shelf hardware and highly customized manufacturing services, our return policy is categorized by product type:

1. Custom Manufactured Products (PCBs & Assembly)

Custom Orders: Since custom PCBs and SMT assemblies are manufactured to your unique specifications (Gerber files/BOM), they are non-refundable and cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturing defect that deviates from the provided design files.
Defects: If you believe there is a manufacturing error, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will conduct a technical review of the boards. If a defect is confirmed on our end, we will offer a free re-manufacture or a credit toward your next order.

2. Hardware & IoT Sensors (KyberAir, KyberMini, etc.)

Change of Mind: You may return unopened and unused standard hardware within 14 days of delivery. The item must be in its original packaging. A [15%] restocking fee may apply, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
Warranty: All ExpandoWorks hardware comes with a 12-month limited warranty against electronic failure or manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, power surges, or unauthorized modifications.

3. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return or report a defect, please email sales@expandoworks.com with:

Your Order Number.
High-resolution photos of the issue (for technical claims).
A brief description of the fault or reason for return.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days.

Technical Support

If you are experiencing issues with a sensor or gateway, we recommend contacting our technical support team before initiating a return. Many connectivity or configuration issues can be resolved remotely.
